After a productive journey and a collaborative effort, we launched the Operation Feed Fulton (OFF) Diversion Program, with the Atlanta Community Food Bank. Cierra Bickerstaff and Sekani Williams-Crawford helped spearhead this partnership, which helped increase the supply of food to the more than 500,000 needy families in our community.
During the pandemic our office has identified low-level, low recidivist offenses and provided certain citations recipients with the opportunity to provide a one-time $75 donation to the Atlanta Community Food bank in exchange for a dismissal (with a warning) of their citation. The spirit of this effort was to consider the broader scope of the needs of the community in mind. Please see the video below with Solicitor Gammage explaining this program in greater detail.
